Victoria Rose

Salon owner, Victoria R. Hortian, has been in the cosmetology business for 15 years. Trained at Capri Institute, she was a top graduate, receiving a scholarship for advanced training as well as winning several awards in salon competitions.

Beginning her career from the ground up, working first as an assistant, junior stylist and senior stylist at another salon for nine years, Victoria then traveled to London to study at the world-acclaimed Vidal Sassoon Academy. Upon her return to the United States, she interviewed for and was offered positions at several NYC Salons, however decided that it was time to realize her dream of establishing her own salon. Victoria Rose Salon (VRS) was born in 2012.

Victoria’s warm and welcoming personality engages clients and lets them know that they are important to her on a personal basis, not just as a business. She is an artist who truly listens to her clients first and then gives her opinion, and together they agree on the work to be done.

Victoria’s skills include hair cutting, styling, coloring, highlighting, permanent waves, and specialized hair treatments such as keratin. Coming from a family with curly hair, she has first-hand knowledge on cutting, styling and care for curls of all kinds. She enjoys using her creative talents for formal hairstyling and specializes in updo’s. Victoria is a talented make-up artist who can apply make-up in a range of styles, from very natural to dramatic. She continues to take many classes in NYC’s MAC Studio to keep up with the latest make-up trends, and regularly attends educational events in the hair industry. She places a high value on continuing education, and provides in-house professional development for the VRS Staff on a regular basis.
